ENHANCEMENTS

PEN Server Console

  • The email2 PEN Server Console now allows administrative users to create and manage email2 Virtual PEN Servers and the created PENs. Creating an email2 Virtual PEN Server creates a unique database for all the PENs within, which can easily be exported in order to move the PEN to a new physical location.
  • Improvements have been made to PEN "Trial Mode." During this time the content of the PEN is not encrypted and it doesn't have any certification. A PEN in Trial Mode is only available for a limited amount of time, after which the PEN may stop working.
  • The email2 SMTP Notifications system has been improved. This is the default option available when creating a new email2 Virtual PEN Server. When an email2 Virtual PEN Server uses the email2 SMTP Notifications, the email1 notifications sent out by the system are delivered via email2 Servers, instead of the PEN's server. This notification system supports a reliable delivery mechanism of SMTP notifications via a well known and unique email domain. This minimizes the chances of email2 notifications being flagged as SPAM messages. In cases where messages are still flagged as SPAM, using this central notification system allows email2 to resolve SPAM/Blacklist issues more easily.

email2 Certificate Authority Service (e2CAS)

  • An improved version of the email2 Certificate Authority Services has been deployed with a new API providing a broader range of services to the email2 client applications, (the email2 Toolbar, Web Client Interface, and email2 PEN Server).
