Permission-Based Attachment Library
- The Attachment Library allows for storage and management of all attachments in one place eliminating the need to search through email folders for that specific file.
- Set permissions for full control over who has access to the files.
Every time a User sends or receives a secure message with file attachments, these files are automatically added to the secure, searchable Attachment Library which is accessible from the web-enabled Secure Message Center by clicking on the “Attachments Library” tab. (The Attachment Library “label” can be customized and be named differently – such as “Medical File Attachments” based on the organization’s requirements and the Secure Messaging Platform set-up and User Groups).
Users can assign access rights to the same files without waiting for them to upload again or perform a quick search of their files (stripped of email content) when they are looking for that important document. Monitor tracking data for attachments that each User owns, even recall or delete older attachments that are just taking up space. The Secure Message Center is used to easily find and act on all secure attachments: gone are the days of sorting through countless messages in large inboxes to find an attachment.
The Attachment Library also provides a web-based secure and permission-based online storage for sharing files internally and externally. Files that are exchanged via the Secure Messaging Platform with vendors, partners, and/or clients can be stored in the Attachment Library for later access, and provide instant ‘permission’ transfer without any additional upload time. For example, if a large file is regularly sent to different stakeholders, it can just be uploaded once and resent any time, rather than uploading that same file each time the file is to be sent to different stakeholders. Every attachment is protected by an authorized access list of external Guest Users and internal Users with different permission levels. Therefore, a User has full control of who has access to their files. Deleting the file from the Attachment Library automatically deletes it for the entire audience who the file was previously shared with, even if that file was forwarded by one of the original recipients.
