The blue screen with a white "M" on it is displayed when your computer has not given email2 access to your webcam and/or microphone. This is a known issue and we are currently working to resolve it.
In the meantime, you can use the instructions found in the article, "I get a white screen when using video messaging in Outlook!", which will also solve this problem.
