Video messaging is not working on my Mac!

Some Mac users have problems using the email2 Video Messaging module. This is caused by the Flash video recorder improperly detecting the built-in iSight camera than many Macs use to capture video. If your video messaging panel looks like the one to the right when you try to record a video message, follow the steps below to configure it properly.

A properly configured video messaging panel will display a preview of what the camera can see, even when not recording.

Hold the CTRL button and click anywhere in the blue area of the video messaging window. If you are using a two-button mouse you can right-click. This will bring up a menu, from which you should select "Settings" (as highlighted in the image).

You should now see a small window with a series of tabs along the bottom. Make sure you select the camera icon to view the settings for your camera. There will be a dropdown menu with several choices available. The correct selection is "USB Class Video" (as indicated in the image). Once you make this selection, close the Settings window, and then cancel the email2 message. The next time you go to create a video message, everything should work fine!
