I get a white screen when using video messaging in Outlook!

When you can see the video player, but the video area is a white (or 'blank') space, (see below), your Flash player is very likely not configured to allow the camera access.
 
To fix this, you need only to right-click on the white area and select "settings".
 
Make sure the settings for local access are "allowed" and "remembered".
 

Close the settings window and your camera should work fine.
