Removing a PEN activation does not delete your user account on the PEN. Remember that an activation is an association between a PEN and a specific installation of the email2 Toolbar. Removing a PEN activation simply reverts your relationship with a PEN back to the point before you discovered it (or activated with it). The best way to conceptualize removing an activation is that the email2 system just "forgets" that you had ever previously discovered the PEN.
Removing a PEN activation does not block future messages from that PEN either. If this is what you are trying to do, you should read the article "Enabling and Disabling email2 accounts". Following are some reasons that you might want to remove an activation:
- To 'clean up' the activation list by removing dead PENs or email addresses.
- To 'rediscover' a PEN and re-check the certification status.
- To 'reactivate' and reset your activation profile.
