The email2 Toolbar pane (see right) is an aspect of the email2 Toolbar which provide room for a perpetually visible Delivery Slip. In Outlook, the pane is visible in the explorer window, the Outlook reading pane, or a composition/reading window.
The email2 Toolbar pane displays a lot of important information, and allows you to interact with various email2 elements.
- Header: The name of the PEN, as well as some message-specific option buttons (Update this email2 message, View this email2 message in the web client, What is the certification status of this PEN?)
- Message Details: Basic, (but still very important), information about the sender, recipients, message status, forwarding/replying rules, etc. The Message Details section is your "heads-up display" for basic message features.
- Voice & Video: If a voice or video message exists, this is where you'll see it. A preview of the message is available, and by pressing the Play button, you'll be able to watch the whole message entirely from your Outlook window.
- Attachments: If the message contains attachments, they are listed here with name and filesize. Clicking the download icon beside them allows you to download the files on-demand, individually. If desired, you can download all the attachments at the same time by clicking the "Download All" link.
- Tracking: View real time tracking information, see who has retrieved the message, replied or forwarded it, and when they did it.
When you are composing the a new email2 message, (or a reply/forward), the email2 Toolbar pane is still visible, but instead of providing you information about the current message, you have the opportunity to change various delivery options. By using the pane while composing an email2 message, you are able to upload a video message (simply press record and use your webcam), change tracking options, and decide whether or not the message can be forwarded or replied to.
