Getting Started with Voice and Video Messaging (Outlook)

This page will get you started using Voice and Video Messaging in Outlook, using the email2 Toolbar. You'll only have to complete this configuration once.

  1. You must have Flash 9 installed in Internet Explorer in order to use Voice and Video Messaging in Outlook. If you do not have Flash installed, please visit the Adobe website to install it. (Important: Please ensure that you are using Internet Explorer to install Flash!)

  2. Once Flash is installed, open Outlook and create a new email2 message (New email2 in the email2 Toolbar). If the Video Message window is collapsed, click the + icon to expand it.

If your camera is plugged in, but you do not see a live preview of yourself, you will have to authorize access to your video device:

    1. Right click anywhere on the blank video area and select Settings.
    2. In the window that opens, select "Allow local to access your camera and microphone." Check the Remember box to remember this preference.

Once this is done, click the Record button to create a video message!
