email2 messages are sent to, retrieved from and stored at a single, centralized message repository, known as a Private Email Network, or PEN. This message repository can be secured using standard security measures. All communications with it can be forced over HTTPS connections, all information stored on it can be encrypted, and the repository itself, (a database on a computer), can be physically secured under lock and key.
Messages are entirely safe and secure, and can only be accessed by authorized users. Because all email2 messages are stored in a secure, centralized message repository, accurate audit and tracking data can be collected and displayed. email2 techniques ensure that messages aren’t tampered with over time, and the ability to archive email2 messages for indefinite periods of time ensures that all record-keeping regulations are adhered to.
